Month 5 -Lottery
You decide to get a lotto scratcher when you are at lunch. You win $5.
You can keep it or buy five more tickets and play odds & evens

evens - You become hooked to scratchers and lose $250.

If you lose money add it to your monthly problem. If you win Money put it in the bonus section of the budget and set the month as May.
Month 4- Robbed
You have robbed! The thief or thieves have gotten away with your TV, Computer, iPod, and all your clothes. You must replace all these items.
- You may spread the cost over 3 months.
- You must file a police report.
- If you have renters insurance. You must write a letter to the insurance company to make a claim.
- The value of the stolen items is $2000
- Your deductible is $350 (unless you have paperwork that tells you otherwise)
- You need “receipts” for all the items you replace.

Month 3 - Toothache
You have a toothache. So you go to see the dentist. Pay $25 for the visit.
Play odds and evens for your result.
Odds - You have popcorn stuck in your teeth. The dentist cleans it and sends you home with floss.
Evens - A cavity! You schedule an appointment, take a day off work, the dentist fills it and sends you on your way. It costs you $150 and one day of work.
You may go for a second opinion if you disagree with the dentist
Play odds and evens again for your result.
Odds - the second dentist finds it is just popcorn and cleans it and sends you home pay another $25 copay.
Evens - Root Canal! The second dentist finds that you need a root canal. It will cost you 2 days of work and $300
If you have a car you must get an oil change for $30
Month 2- Transit Strike
This month there is a transit strike. You must find alternate transportation for one week. If you have a car you have no problem.

Month 1- Power Failure
This month you have a power failure and all your food spoils. You must replace 1 weeks worth of food and add that to your budget this month.
