Welcome to the 2010 Lutheran Jr.High/Middle School Gathering!
November 19-21 at the Sheraton Hotel in Anaheim
This event is sponsored by members of the Pacifica and Southwest California Synods of the ELCA and Lutheran Retreats Camps and Conferences.
An exciting weekend has been planned especially for your group!

You will know the truth and the truth will set you free.

Speakers: Peter O'Malia & Pastor Sarah Summer-Eisenbraun
This dynamic duo will amaze you with their myth-busting skills, entertain you with their goofy humor & experiments! You will be challenged to view the Bible, our church and the world in different ways. Our speakers bring many years of youth experience to our sessions. Peter currently is in his 10th year as a Youth and Family minister at Hill Ave. Grace, in Pasadena. Pastor Sarah has served for two years as Associate Pastor at St. John's in Arroyo Grande and as the Bible Study Leader for
Western States Youth Gathering 2008.

Program: Registration includes: 3 large group sessions with our speakers and lively music. Friday night activities - extreme sports, 80's dance (don't forget your costume), movie and more. Saturday workshops that focus on teen faith topics and an afternoon spent at Disneyland. We will close Sunday morning with worship. Join over 400 Christian youth gathered together to grow in relationship with our Lord and one another.

Gathering Schedule:
Friday, November 19 - 5:00pm - Registration
7:30pm - General Session 1, Night life to Follow…
Saturday, November 20- Session 2, Workshops, Disneyland
Sunday, November 21 - Closing Worship will end at approximately 11:30am

The cost is $89 per person plus hotel rates ($75/person based on 4 people per room)

JOIN US EVERY FRIDAY NIGHT AS WE REJOICE THROUGH ART, FELLOWSHIP, SERVICE, AND MUSIC!
Westchester Lutheran is proud to announce ON THIS ROCK, a new Friday night program for students from first grade through high school. The program begins September 17 in the Fellowship Hall.
The first portion of the evening, 7:00 to 8:00 pm, will be devoted to discussions in age-appropriate groups. We will emphasize developing relationships with others while developing our relationship with Jesus, through games, service projects, crafts, and Scripture.

From 8:00 to 8:30 pm, we will be in the Worship Zone, a wonderful opportunity for students to play music, perform skits, read Scripture, and celebrate together. The students will be building toward developing their own worship materials, making their own music videos, and leading worship.
Elementary school students will be dismissed at 8:30 pm; middle school and high school students are invited to stay for fellowship until 10 pm.


There is no registration fee; a free-will offering will be collected each week. We would appreciate your RSVP so we can plan appropriately for snacks and materials.
